Hong Kong Air Cadet Corps
Hong Kong Air Cadet Corps (HKACC) is a uniformed group supported and funded by the Government Flying Service (GFS). Our mission is to instill self-confidence and a sense of responsibility in young people through aviation education, strict discipline, leadership training, community service, and participation in Mainland and international exchange activities. HKACC also provides guidance in life and career planning, with the ultimate goal of nurturing patriotic and responsible citizens with a love for the Motherland and Hong Kong. In line with strategies outlined in the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region Government's youth development roadmap, HKACC organises aviation education and flight experience for young people. HKACC also conduct team-based discipline and skills training with a view to motivating cadet members, especially those aspiring to join the GFS, the civil aviation industry, or the disciplined forces, to discover their career interests early, acquire the necessary knowledge and skills during the time they spend with the Corps, and plan accordingly for their future. HKACC’s progressive training syllabus is primarily carried out through the network of squadrons located throughout Hong Kong, topped up by more advanced training and activities arranged at headquarters level. Training and activities are usually held on weekends and public holidays.
