Usage tips are categorised by topics to help travellers quickly apprise of the relevant arrangement of the Huanggang Port.
(a) Port Building
Usage Tips: If you encounter an emergency situation at the Huanggang Port Hong Kong Port Area, and your mobile phone has already roamed onto a Mainland mobile network, please call 00852-3661-1733 to contact the Hong Kong Police Force’s Huanggang Port Reporting Centre. If your mobile phone is unable to connect to the subscribed network, users may try calling 110 to reach the Mainland police emergency service. The Mainland authorities will contact the Hong Kong authorities for follow-up.
Usage Tips: Members of the public who wish to use the Government Wi-Fi service at the Huanggang Port Hong Kong Port Area simply need to turn on their device’s Wi-Fi function, select “Wi-Fi.HK” from the list of available Wi-Fi networks, and then click “Connect”. The service will be available once the connection is successful. No registration is required for this service.
(b) Collaborative Inspection and Joint Clearance
Usage Tips: Regardless of “document reading” or “face scan” clearance, travellers must bring along valid travel documents that comply with the immigration requirements of both places, for the purpose of identity verification by the respective immigration authorities.
(c) Transportation
Usage Tips: The Huanggang Port Hong Kong Port Area is a Closed Area. Cross-boundary visitors shall possess a valid travel document. Non-cross-boundary travellers shall possess a valid Closed Area Permit.
Usage Tips: There will be no public carpark in the Huanggang Port Hong Kong Port Area. Depending on their personal travel needs, passengers driving private cars can park their vehicles at parking lots along the route that connect to public transportation services, and then take public transportation to the Huanggang Port.
