Second cross-boundary stress test to be conducted at the Huanggang Port
Following the cross-boundary stress test on August 22, the HKSAR Government will conduct the second cross-boundary stress test with the Shenzhen side at the Huanggang Port on August 29. The test will simulate the peak situation under high load during holiday and assess the port’s capacity under sustained high passenger flow. Hong Kong will mobilise around 20 000 civil servants and will arrange vehicles for the drill.

HKSAR Government will hold an inter-departmental table-top exercise for the Huanggang Port
The HKSAR Government today (August 20) will conduct an inter-departmental table-top exercise in relation to the Huanggang Port with the Shenzhen side. The exercise is based on realistic simulation scenarios, and aims to strengthen overall operational coordination and emergency response capabilities among stakeholders.

Practical drill for passenger automated channels of “collaborative inspection and joint clearance” mode to be conducted at the Huanggang Port
The HKSAR Government today (August 19) will conduct a practical drill for the passenger automated channels of the “collaborative inspection and joint clearance” mode at the Huanggang Port with the Shenzhen side, with a view to optimising the system performance, operating mode, emergency response arrangements, and communication and co-ordination mechanisms of the “collaborative inspection” automated channels, thereby ensuring the stability of the clearance system and the efficiency of the clearance process.

Third large-scale drill to be conducted at the Huanggang Port
The HKSAR Government will conduct the third large-scale drill at the Huanggang Port on August 22 to simulate holiday peak conditions to test the clearance capacity of the port, as well as the management capacity of passenger and vehicular flows at the Hong Kong Port Area. Over 10 000 Hong Kong civil servants and nearly 1 000 vehicles will be mobilised for the drill.
Dedicated lanes for public transportation added around Huanggang Port
To further improve the operational efficiency of public transportation services, the Transport Department (TD) has added dedicated lanes for public transportation connecting Fanling Highway and San Tin Highway directly to San Sham Road. This allows franchised buses, cross-boundary coaches, and minibuses traveling to San Sham Road and the redeveloped Huanggang Port to avoid regular traffic flow. Emergency response and handling drill for electrical and mechanical systems conducted at the Huanggang Port Hong Kong Port Area
The HKSAR Government today (August 17) conducted an emergency response and handling drill for the power supply system, lifts, escalators and air conditioning system at the Huanggang Port Hong Kong Port Area. The drill aimed to test and enhance the inter-departmental response capability of the electrical and mechanical systems in the port building in the event of sudden malfunctions.

Second large-scale drill and counter-terrorism and major incident exercise to be conducted at the Huanggang Port Hong Kong Port Area
The HKSAR Government today (August 15) will conduct the second large-scale drill at the Huanggang Port Hong Kong Port Area, together with an inter-departmental counter-terrorism and major incident exercise, with a view to further testing the overall management of passenger and vehicular flows at the port building and the public transport interchange, as well as strengthening the response capabilities of various departments in case of emergencies.
SB launches one-stop information platform for Huanggang Port
The Security Bureau (SB) launched a one-stop information platform for Huanggang Port today (August 15) to enable the public to access the latest information on the redeveloped Huanggang Port, including the facilities of the port building, the “collaborative inspection and joint clearance” mode, the public transport services to / from the Huanggang Port, and the mobile communications services at the Huanggang Port Hong Kong Port Area.
