The Security Services Training Board (SSTB) of the Vocational Training Council (VTC) has recently further reviewed and revised the Security Training Courses of Quality Assurance System for Recognition Scheme (QASRS). The syllabus has been revised to include the Noise Control Ordinance to equip the security personnel with the basic knowledge of the legislation and the proper ways of handling noise complaints. Flexibility is also given to the course providers in deciding the sequence of teaching security-related subjects of the QASRS training courses. The Security and Guarding Services Industry Authority (the Authority) hereby announces that it has endorsed the SSTB’s further revised QASRS as mentioned above. The revised QASRS will take effect from 1 August 2008 and has been uploaded onto the website of VTC at http://www.vtc.edu.hk/cpdc
